Archangel Michael of Mantamados

The Holy Pilgrimage is located near Mantamados, in the NE part of Lesvos, 36 km from Mytilene and is one of the most important pilgrimages on the island. The small church of the 17th century was replaced by a larger one of the 18th century, in the place of which was rebuilt from the ground up in 1879 the current church that follows the architectural style of the three-aisled basilica.
